One of the first few projects I did with Creative Director, Kyle Cooper. We've teamed for almost 30 years. We had similar upbringings: comfortable middle-class families, both collected Famous Monsters of Filmland, both entered undergrad as illustrators. He's a marvelously charismatic character. He tells me he asks for something and other illustrators give him something else. He tells me, I give him what he asked for.

We both loved horror films and share a certain dark aesthetic, but mine veers toward comic, the anarchic and surreal, his the demonic, the terrifying.
